How come your rate is so low?
Since I work from home, for myself, I am able to charge significantly less than most media companies. I have no office rent to pay, no employees to pay, and no business debt. -
Why do you charge so much?
I charge $45 per hour because that's what I think I'm worth. Anyone that charges less than that is either desperate for work, or doesn't have the experience and skills that I do. I can code 2-5 times faster than people just out of school, and my experience translates into less mistakes and a more robust product in the end.
Web Programming
While working in the web industry over the past 8 years, I've become proficient with HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, ColdFusion, Fusebox, Actionscript, PHP, MySql, MS SQL, VBasic.
Content Management
Open source content management systems are free to use and quick(read:cheap) to setup. I've installed and customized systems including Joomla, Wordpress and Mambo.

Search Engine Optimization is all about building your website and content in a manner that search engines like.
E-Commerce
If you're selling online, you need credit card processing and a shopping system. I've integrated OsCommerce (a free open-source system) and built custom systems.
